"No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care."
- Theodor Roosevelt
I like experimenting with new technology and architecting systems that are impactful and relevant. A lot of my work was in healthcare in the mobile space, but I am also active in other industries and technological fields, including finance.
I am passionate about applying technology to urgent problems. For example, with Health Impact Transfer (HIT) we try to help move the financial resources of the healthcare systems of the world from repair medicine to more preventive healthcare.
Worked in academia, consulting and as manager or engineer in many industries. Serial entrepreneur with numerous Internet startups. eBay alumnus. Many years at Pfizer. I have written or overseen many mobile apps and tech projects for patients, consumers and health care professionals.
B.A. from Brandeis, M.A. from Harvard, MBA from INSEAD, Diplomatic Academy Vienna, Beijing University, Nanjing University, University of Vienna Université de Paris VIII, Bourguiba School Tunis, Certified Financial Advisor, Certified Chess Trainer, et al.
Studied or lived in the US, China, France, Thailand, UK, Germany, Tunisia, Singapore, Russia, Italy, and Austria. I love studying languages, including extinct ones (I hold a master's degree in Sanskrit) and artificial ones, many computer languages, from full-stack web to native mobile and blockchain.
When I am inspired by an idea I can become exceptionally engaged. I think good performance should be rewarded, but we need to think about the ethical implications and our impact on others in whatever we do. My guiding principles are honesty, discretion, professionalism and courage.
